No. Daffy does not accept ACATS (Automated Customer Account Transfer Service) transfers.
ACATS transfers are typically used to move an entire brokerage account or portfolio from one financial institution to another. Since Daffy is a charity, not a brokerage firm, we cannot receive assets through the ACATS system.
To contribute stock, ETF, or mutual fund shares to Daffy, your brokerage must send them via DTC (Depository Trust Company) transfer instead. DTC transfers allow your brokerage to send specific securities directly to Daffy’s custodial account.
👋 Tip: If you’re unsure which type of transfer your brokerage supports, contact their support team and ask whether they can send a DTC charitable transfer.
When you’re ready to contribute, check out our stock contribution instructions.
