You submit this transfer to J.P. Morgan. Daffy does not send it for you. Creating a stock intent tells Daffy to expect your shares. It does not start the transfer.
Before you start
You will need:
Your J.P. Morgan account number
The ticker and number of shares you're contributing
The cost basis of those shares (record it now because J.P. Morgan may not keep that information after the transfer)
Your choice of immediate or custom liquidation, which decides which form you use (What happens to my shares after I transfer them to Daffy?)
How do I contribute stock from J.P. Morgan?
Create a stock intent. Log into Daffy or the iOS app and go to Add Funds > Stocks, ETFs & Mutual Funds (open the stock intent form).
Download Daffy's pre-filled J.P. Morgan form that matches your liquidation choice:
Custom liquidation form (Philanthropist membership feature)
Fill in only your J.P. Morgan account details, the securities, number of shares, and lot details. Leave Daffy's receiving details as they are.
In Other Applicable Information, add your Daffy fund name or account number next to Daffy Charitable Fund.
Print and sign the form. J.P. Morgan may require a Medallion signature, depending on the size of your contribution.
Send the form to J.P. Morgan using the instructions on the left side of page 1.

What happens after I send the form?
When your shares arrive and match your stock intent, Daffy notifies you and attributes them to your fund. Transfer timing depends on J.P. Morgan. If it's been more than 7 business days since J.P. Morgan sent the shares and you don't see them in your Daffy fund, contact J.P. Morgan's support team.
Cost basis
Record your cost basis before you transfer the shares. Daffy does not have access to cost basis information.
