Are there fees associated with donating cash, stock, or crypto?
Daffy doesn’t charge any fees beyond our flat monthly membership, and accounts with balances under $100 pay no membership fees at all.
Cash donations: Bank transfers are free. A 2.9% processing surcharge applies to credit card, debit card, and Apple Pay donations. This fee goes to the card processors, not to Daffy. We waive the surcharge on your first card donation, up to $1,000.
Stock and crypto donations: Daffy does not charge liquidation or processing fees. However, your brokerage or crypto exchange may charge fees when transferring assets, and those costs will affect the final amount deposited in your Daffy account.
Because these external fees vary, we recommend checking directly with your brokerage or crypto exchange for details.
Can I use my donor-advised fund to support the Los Altos Town Crier Holiday Fundraiser?
Yes! If your DAF is with Daffy, you can donate directly by recommending a donation from your account using this link.
If your DAF is with another provider, you can still participate by making a grant to Daffy Charitable Fund and designating it for the Los Altos Town Crier Holiday Fundraiser.
